Lavacake

This project features a lava cake simulation created in Houdini using MPM, focusing on the interaction between the cake structure, the flowing chocolate interior, and the whipped cream. The simulation was set up to create a believable collapse while keeping the motion visually appealing and readable.

The cake, chocolate filling, and cream were simulated using Houdini’s MPM solver, with the project serving as an exploration of different material behaviors and the MPM workflow. The scene was fully rendered in Karma, with a focus on the overall look, material response, and presentation.
